Bennett Swavely Wins the 2022 CVGA Cadott Open!

 

Golden  Gopher Ben Swavely of Hudson, WI captured his 3^rd CVGA Tournament by shooting a brilliant -7 par 65 to win this year’s Cadott Open.  This is Swavely 2^nd CVGA Tournament win of the 2022 Season and it puts him in great position to win CVGA Player of the Year at the half way point.   Finishing 2^nd was former Golden Gopher and Teaching Pro in St. Paul, Will Leaf, who carded a very nice -5 under par 67.  Finishing alone at 3^rd was Division I High School Medalist Will Schlitz, who shot a -4 under par 68. Schlitz, fresh off leading Eau Claire Memorial to this year’s state championship is gearing up for a busy summer. The Junior-to-be recently won the qualifying section of the State Amateur which will be held later this summer at Sand Valley. Good Luck Will!  Finishing tied for 4^th at 69 were teaching pro Dieter Zuelke, and this year’s Wild Ridge Champion Dean Goodman.  Congrats Gentlemen on a fine tournament.  Thanks to all that played and in 2 weeks, the CVGA’s next stop will be at Lake Wissota.  For tee times call 715-382-4780.
